Our home base is Roodeplaat Dam, a beautiful international-standard rowing course located north east of the City of Pretoria in Gauteng Province. This facility is now more than forty years old and named after one of our community’s greats, Mr Allan Francis. Our Para team operates from the University of Johannesburg, (UJ), located in Auckland Park Johannesburg. Our Senior team operates from the High Performance Centre of the University of Pretoria, (TUKS), located in Lynnwood Pretoria. Our Junior team comes together after final selection, usually mid-May each year, representing as far as possible the diverse pool of talent from our Schools and Clubs nationwide. We recognize the enormous support we receive from Schools, special Academies, Universities and Rowing Clubs nationwide. Without their hard work and passion, we would not have the great talent pool of athletes and coaches from which we choose our best. Financial support comes primarily from our Sponsors, National Olympic Committee, supported by the Department of Sport and Recreation and the National Lottery.
